Welcome, i appreciate you for stopping by both old and new readers. Today am going to be talking about a problem that most ladies have when applying their makeup, most of them always complain of the makeup not lasting long enough or ,in layman’s terms “shifting”. I personally have come to realise that these problem result from 4 factors I.e the reason why your foundation doesn’t stick, so am going to be talking about solutions and problems at the same time

1. Face primer: The basic thing you need for the base is your face primer. One that is very good and soothes your skin type. I observe that its actually better to use a primer that soothes you best. For example, if you have an oily skin, it’s advised to use a matte face primer or an oil control primer( zaron cosmetics oil control primer) and if you have a dry skin, you could use a gel primer although you can still use the matte face primer.
2. Original Foundation: Another problem is that most people tend to buy fake products because they are not mindful of where they buy their makeup products from. If your foundation is original it will last for a while on your face when applied properly and also when it’s well blended into your skin. Some foundation products have a time limit written on the pack, some say 8 hours or less, depends on the one you buy. I strongly advise that you buy your makeup products from makeup artist that sell, legit supermarket or distributors of the products. PLEASE do not buy from roadside sellers.
3. Proper Applicators: The best stuff to use when applying your foundation is a foundation brush or a soft beauty blender to ensure its blended properly pls do not use your hands to apply your foundation.
4. Proper Baking/ Setting: Some people bake their face using baking powder(e.g Ben nye) while others just apply a finishing powder, depending on what you want to do or how. Sha me personally, I prefer baking my face so that the foundation will be well balanced and blended into the skin to avoid “shifting”. Before applying the baking powder, it’s better to apply concealer under your eyes, on your nose, your forehead and your jaw and ensure you blend it well, before baking. After baking/setting your face, you can finish it up by applying your face powder.
