Now just to be clear y’all I don’t like baking, in fact, the only time I bake is when I have practicals in school and during that time we are in groups so each person has maybe just one or two things to contribute to the cake process, I have never baked alone at all until Sunday. So because of how bored I was on Easter day I decided to do something different, yunno try the whole “new skill” thingy, I got my concept from the last bake sale we did in school, my recipe from YouTube and I got my measurements from my sister who is caterer by the way😁 , asides from that I did the whole thing myself, no one helped me at all😑(despite all the pleading) . It came out really nice and my dad loved it, which is why I decided to share with you all, incase you’re bored and you want to try something new😏😏(you never know you just might discover your hidden talent) I know baking is not mine sha😫.
PS: This is for beginners like me ooo…
Ingredients :
- 2 satchets of butter
- 10 eggs
- 5 cups of flour
- Half condensed milk
- 4 caps of vanilla flour essence
- 3 spoons of baking soda
- 1 and 1/2 tbs of cocoa powder( I decided to put this because i wanted it to have a chocolate feel, it’s not compulsory)
- 3-4 caps of liquid white vinegar
- 2 milk cups of sugar
- Red food colouring
- Cupcake wrap
Recipe
- Pour flour, cocoa powder and baking soda
- Sieve together
- Stir and set aside
- Pour butter and sugar in a bowl
- Beat until smooth and you can’t exactly hear the sound of the sugar again🤔
- Break your 10 eggs
- Beat until combined
- Pour your white vinegar, vanilla extract and milk in the batter
- Beat until combined
- Gradually add flour mixture
- Mix until combined then you add your red food colouring( pour as much as you want , it depends on the colour that suites you best)
- Fill into your cake wraps and bake in the oven
Now I really wasn’t checking how long exactly it’s supposed to be in the oven but I advice that after every 20 minutes, dip like a toothpick in it and if it comes out clean, it’s ready( pls if you know how long cake is supposed to last in the oven without going through all this stress, comment below, biko we are all learners here. I would really love to know)
